Customer Reviews

"To much grease, to the point that the bread becomes soggy. We ordered at the front and sat down at a table, food was brought to us. 7/10 Burnt Ends (Brisket): Burnt ends are supposed to have some fat, but these had a little too much for my preferences. The meat itself was quite good! 7/10 Pulled Pork: The pulled pork is pretty good too, still a little bummed that the bread became soggy. 5/10 BBQ Sauce: Not my favorite. I prefer a sweet and flavorful BBQ sauce, this one has a slightly spicy and deeper smokier flavor. Please keep in mind I am not a professional BBQ sauce taster, but I'd love to see an alternative sauce provided to accommodate different tastes. With a different BBQ sauce from Q39 and Joe's, which I tried with leftovers, the meat was even better! 8/10 BBQ Beans: Very delicious! I recall being told there wasn't meat in it, if so I'd love to see some meat added to it! Would love to see a Honey Mustard sauce! Biggest pain point for both meats was the pool of grease which made the experience of eating the meat not as enjoyable (orange grease in third photo)."

"If I could give 10 stars I would this place was amazing Good size portions, loads of flavor, and great customer service. We can't wait til our next trip to KS to stop in. I got the loaded fries w brisket and a side of burnt ends, my boy got a mix of everything. And I can honestly say everything was delicious. Also I had gastric bypass and their sauce didn't mess w my stomach like so many places who put a ton of sugar in their sauce."

"photos are from AUG2023. stopped by here 2 or 3 times now when they were open and about as many times when they are closed. The food is good. Chicken and beans are the best items so far. The ribs are bit saltier than I prefer. The fries are the worst item on the menu that we have tried. The service is depends on who you get but is usually straight forward business and that is fine with me. The limited tables have been full so I usually order to go."

"Sweet KC style BBQ done right! Friendly staff, great service! The only complaint we have is that people need to eat here more often so they will be open more often, so, selfishly, we can have more of their delicious BBQ. The burnt ends and pulled pork are where it is at! We did overhear other guests complementing the smoked meat balls and sausage. Give them a try!"

"Really would like to see this place be successful. Came in during lunch and ordered 2 pork sandwhiches and 2 sides. Not bad on the pricing at all. Pork was moist and flavorful. Sauce was great. Pros: -great location in Lansing -better than most BBQ in the area -quick service fair price Cons: -location needs some sprucing up. Something to make the seating feel more welcoming. Feels like you are walking in a retail store more than a restaurant -my beans were so damn hot I had to wait 20 minutes to eat them. Look at the steam coming off of them."

"Brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends were absolutely delicious. Smoked cheesy corn and baked beans were also delicious. Im from out of town and on my way out I'm gonna get food to go! Awesome smoke flavor."

"I'm a self proclaimed bbq expert. This was my first time at Low N Slow. It was very good. We had ribs, brisket and pulled pork. The ribs were a little under done for my liking. They clung to the bone a little too much for me but had good flavor. The pulled pork was perfect and the brisket was thick cut, tender and delicious. I can't wait to go back."
